GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. DEFINITIONS

“Accepted Quote” means a Quote that has been selected and accepted by a Customer.

“Conditions” means these General Conditions together with any Supplemental Conditions applicable to Members.

“Customer” (also referred to on the Site as a “Client”) means a Member who posts a Job on the Site.

“Job” means a request for laundry-related services posted on the Site.

“Laundry Provider” means a Member who submits a Quote for, or provides services in relation to, a Job.

“Member” means a person or business registered on the Site.

“Quote” means an offer submitted by a Laundry Provider in response to a Job, including any quoted price, message, service details or related information.

“Registration” means the creation of a Member account.

“Selected Provider” means the Laundry Provider whose Quote has been accepted by a Customer.

“Site” means www.laundrybid.co.uk.

“Transaction” means any agreement entered into between a Customer and a Laundry Provider in relation to a Job.

2. ACCESS

2.1 We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the Site is available at all times. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

2.2 Access to the Site may be suspended, restricted or withdrawn at any time for maintenance, upgrades, security reasons or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

2.3 We shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience arising from any interruption or unavailability of the Site.

3. CONTENT

3.1 Whilst we endeavour to ensure that information on the Site is accurate, we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or suitability.

3.2 Members must not post, upload or transmit any content that:

(a) is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or offensive;

(b) infringes the rights of any third party;

(c) contains malicious software or harmful code;

(d) promotes illegal activities; or

(e) otherwise breaches applicable laws or these Conditions.

3.3 We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts where we reasonably believe a breach has occurred.

3.4 We may cooperate with law enforcement agencies or regulatory authorities where required by law.

4. LICENCE

4.1 You may access and use the Site for personal or business purposes in accordance with these Conditions.

4.2 All intellectual property rights in the Site remain the property of LaundryBid or its licensors.

4.3 No content from the Site may be copied, reproduced, distributed or exploited without prior written consent.

5. DISCLAIMER

5.1 The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

5.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, LaundryBid excludes all warranties, conditions and representations not expressly stated in these Conditions.

5.3 LaundryBid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the Site.

5.4 Nothing in these Conditions excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

6. INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

6.1 Any personal information processed by LaundryBid shall be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6.2 By using the Site, you consent to such processing where permitted by applicable law.

7. TERMINATION

7.1 We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to the Site where:

(a) required by law;

(b) we suspect fraud or unlawful activity;

(c) these Conditions have been breached; or

(d) it is necessary to protect the Site or its users.

7.2 Termination shall not affect any accrued rights or obligations.

8. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

8.1 The Site may contain links to third-party websites.

8.2 Such links are provided for convenience only.

8.3 LaundryBid has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content, availability or practices of third-party websites.

9. DOMAIN NAME PROTECTION

You agree not to register, acquire or use any domain name, business name, social media account or other identifier that includes the term “LaundryBid” or is likely to cause confusion with the LaundryBid brand.

10. GENERAL

10.1 These Conditions constitute the entire agreement relating to use of the Site.

10.2 If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10.3 Failure by LaundryBid to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

10.4 These Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10.5 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Conditions.

PART B

SUPPLEMENTAL CONDITIONS

1. REGISTRATION

1.1 To use certain features of the Site, you must register as a Member.

1.2 By registering, you warrant that:

(a) you are at least eighteen (18) years of age;

(b) you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements;

(c) all information supplied by you is accurate, complete and current; and

(d) you will keep your account information updated.

1.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities carried out using your account.

1.4 You must notify LaundryBid immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.

1.5 We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend accounts or terminate Membership at our sole discretion where we reasonably believe this is necessary to protect the Site, its Members or comply with applicable laws.

2. OUR SERVICES

2.1 LaundryBid operates solely as an online marketplace through which Customers (Clients) may post Jobs and Laundry Providers may submit Quotes, communicate and enter into Transactions.

2.2 LaundryBid does not provide laundry, cleaning, collection, delivery or related services and is not a party to any Transaction between Members.

2.3 LaundryBid does not employ, engage, supervise or control Laundry Providers and makes no representation regarding their suitability, qualifications, experience, insurance, licensing or performance.

2.4 Customers are solely responsible for reviewing Quotes, selecting an appropriate Laundry Provider and determining whether a Quote is suitable for their requirements.

2.5 Laundry Providers are solely responsible for the services they provide and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards.

2.6 Any agreement relating to a Job is entered into directly between the Customer and the Laundry Provider following acceptance of a Quote or otherwise by agreement between the parties.

3. GENERAL DISCLAIMER

3.1 LaundryBid does not guarantee:

(a) that a Job will receive Quotes;

(b) that a Quote will be accepted;

(c) that a Transaction will be completed;

(d) that any Member will perform their obligations; or

(e) the quality, safety, legality or suitability of any services.

3.2 Members use the Site entirely at their own risk.

3.3 LaundryBid shall not be responsible for any loss arising from reliance on information provided by another Member.

4. UNLAWFUL TRANSACTIONS

4.1 Members must not use the Site for any unlawful purpose.

4.2 Members must not post, quote for or participate in any Job involving:

(a) illegal goods;

(b) stolen property;

(c) counterfeit items;

(d) prohibited substances;

(e) fraudulent activity; or

(f) any activity prohibited by applicable law.

4.3 LaundryBid reserves the right to remove any Job, suspend any account or report any activity to the relevant authorities where it reasonably suspects unlawful conduct.

4.4 Members remain solely responsible for ensuring that their activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. LAUNDRY

5.1 Customers must not post Jobs relating to items that are unlawful, dangerous, hazardous or otherwise unsuitable for standard commercial laundry services.

5.2 Customers must disclose any information that may affect the safe handling, cleaning or processing of an item, including contamination, hazardous substances, infestations, fire damage, mould contamination or special cleaning requirements.

5.3 Laundry Providers reserve the right to refuse any item which they reasonably believe may pose a risk to health, safety, property, equipment or personnel.

5.4 Compliance with all laws and regulations relating to items submitted for laundry services remains the sole responsibility of the parties to the Transaction.

5.5 LaundryBid may remove any Job listing that it reasonably believes breaches these Conditions or may create legal, safety or operational risks.

5.6 Any claim relating to loss of or damage to items must be raised directly with the Laundry Provider responsible for the service.

5.7 LaundryBid is not responsible for loss, damage, delay or service quality issues arising from a Transaction between Members.

6. FEES

6.1 Registration on LaundryBid is free for both Customers and Laundry Providers unless otherwise stated on the Site.

6.2 LaundryBid may charge Fees, commissions, deposits or other charges in connection with Transactions completed through the Site.

6.3 Applicable Fees will be displayed on the Site and may vary by category, service type or promotional activity.

6.4 By accepting a Quote or completing a Transaction through the Site, Members agree to pay any applicable Fees.

6.5 LaundryBid reserves the right to amend, waive, suspend or introduce Fees at any time. Any changes will be published on the Site.

6.6 Laundry Providers remain solely responsible for accounting for and paying any VAT, taxes or other charges arising from Transactions.

7. CANCELLATIONS

7.1 Customers and Laundry Providers should make reasonable efforts to fulfil accepted Jobs.

7.2 Where a Job is cancelled after a Quote has been accepted, either party may submit a cancellation request through the Site.

7.3 Cancellation requests should be submitted within twenty-eight (28) days of the accepted Quote.

7.4 LaundryBid may, at its sole discretion, approve a refund, account credit or other adjustment where it considers such action appropriate.

7.5 Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method used for the Transaction.

7.6 Members must not abuse the cancellation process by submitting false, misleading or fraudulent information.

7.7 Repeated cancellations or abuse of the cancellation process may result in suspension or termination of Membership.

8. FEEDBACK

8.1 LaundryBid may provide a feedback and rating system allowing Members to review each other following a Transaction.

8.2 Feedback should be honest, fair and based on genuine experience.

8.3 Members must not submit feedback that is false, misleading, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful.

8.4 LaundryBid does not verify the accuracy of feedback and accepts no responsibility for opinions expressed by Members.

8.5 LaundryBid reserves the right to remove, edit or restrict any feedback which it reasonably considers inappropriate or in breach of these Conditions.

8.6 Repeated abuse of the feedback system may result in suspension or termination of Membership.

9. NO AGENCY

9.1 Nothing in these Conditions shall create or be deemed to create any partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between LaundryBid and any Member.

9.2 All Laundry Providers operate as independent businesses and are solely responsible for the services they provide.

9.3 Members shall not represent themselves as employees, agents or representatives of LaundryBid.

9.4 Members shall not enter into any agreement or make any representation on behalf of LaundryBid.

10. REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE

10.1 LaundryBid may provide a reporting mechanism that allows Members to report content, behaviour or activities which they believe may breach these Conditions, applicable laws or Platform policies.

10.2 Reports may relate to, without limitation:

(a) messages between Members;

(b) Quotes and Job listings;

(c) Member profiles;

(d) reviews and feedback;

(e) prohibited items; or

(f) any other content or activity on the Site.

10.3 LaundryBid reserves the right, but shall not be obliged, to investigate any report and take such action as it considers appropriate, including:

(a) removing content;

(b) issuing warnings;

(c) restricting account functionality;

(d) suspending Membership; or

(e) terminating Membership.

10.4 Members must not misuse the reporting system. False, misleading or malicious reports may result in enforcement action against the reporting Member.

10.5 Repeated breaches of these Conditions may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Site.

11. INFORMATION YOU SUPPLY

11.1 Members are responsible for ensuring that all information provided on the Site is accurate, complete and up to date.

11.2 Members must not provide information that:

(a) is false or misleading;

(b) impersonates another person or business;

(c) infringes the rights of any third party;

(d) is unlawful or fraudulent; or

(e) may reasonably be expected to mislead other Members.

11.3 LaundryBid reserves the right to remove or amend any information that it reasonably believes breaches these Conditions.

11.4 Members remain solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any information submitted to the Site.

12. FRAUD

12.1 Members must not engage in any fraudulent, deceptive or dishonest activity.

12.2 Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

(a) identity fraud;

(b) payment fraud;

(c) false claims;

(d) fake reviews or ratings;

(e) falsified documents;

(f) misrepresentation of services;

(g) attempts to avoid Platform Fees; or

(h) any activity intended to deceive other Members or LaundryBid.

12.3 LaundryBid reserves the right to investigate suspected fraud and may request additional information, identification or supporting documentation.

12.4 LaundryBid may suspend or terminate Membership and report suspected fraudulent activity to law enforcement agencies, regulators or payment providers where appropriate.

13. REJECTION OR REMOVAL OF MEMBERS

13.1 LaundryBid reserves the right to refuse Registration, suspend Membership or permanently remove a Member at its sole discretion where it reasonably believes such action is necessary.

13.2 Circumstances that may result in suspension or removal include:

(a) breach of these Conditions;

(b) fraud or suspected fraud;

(c) unlawful conduct;

(d) repeated complaints;

(e) abuse of the Site or other Members;

(f) failure to comply with reasonable requests from LaundryBid; or

(g) conduct likely to damage the reputation of LaundryBid.

13.3 LaundryBid shall not be liable for any loss arising from suspension or termination of Membership.

14. CONFIDENTIALITY

14.1 Members may obtain confidential information relating to other Members through use of the Site.

14.2 Members agree not to disclose, distribute or misuse confidential information obtained through the Site except where necessary to complete a Transaction or where required by law.

14.3 This obligation shall continue after termination of Membership.

15. NON-SOLICITATION

15.1 Members shall not knowingly solicit, recruit or attempt to recruit employees, contractors or representatives of LaundryBid for a period of twelve (12) months following any contact made through the Site.

15.2 Nothing in this clause shall prevent general recruitment activities not specifically directed at LaundryBid personnel.

16. USE OF LAUNDRYBID

16.1 Members must use the Site in accordance with these Conditions and all applicable laws.

16.2 Members must not:

(a) interfere with the operation of the Site;

(b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account;

(c) introduce viruses, malware or harmful code;

(d) scrape, copy or harvest data from the Site;

(e) use automated tools to access the Site without permission; or

(f) use the Site in a manner likely to damage the reputation of LaundryBid.

16.3 Members must not use the LaundryBid name, logo or branding without prior written consent.

16.4 Members must not bid on, purchase or use advertising keywords, search terms, domain names or social media identifiers incorporating the LaundryBid name or any confusingly similar variation.

17. NO CONVICTIONS

17.1 By registering as a Laundry Provider, you represent and warrant that:

(a) you have not been convicted of any offence involving fraud, dishonesty, theft or violence;

(b) you are not subject to any court order or regulatory restriction that would prevent you from providing laundry-related services; and

(c) you are legally entitled to operate your business.

17.2 LaundryBid reserves the right to request additional information or documentation where reasonably necessary.

17.3 Failure to disclose relevant information may result in suspension or termination of Membership.

18. LIMITATION OF PLATFORM RESPONSIBILITY

18.1 LaundryBid acts solely as an online marketplace that facilitates communication, Quote submissions, Job postings and Transactions between Customers (Clients) and Laundry Providers.

18.2 LaundryBid does not provide laundry, cleaning, collection, delivery or related services.

18.3 LaundryBid is not responsible for:

(a) loss of items;

(b) damage to items;

(c) delayed services;

(d) service quality;

(e) pricing disputes;

(f) non-performance of a Job; or

(g) disputes between Members.

18.4 All Transactions are entered into directly between Customers and Laundry Providers, who remain solely responsible for their respective obligations.

18.5 To the fullest extent permitted by law, LaundryBid excludes all liability arising from or relating to any Transaction between Members.
